Hey guys. I’m so excited that Sephora has just launched their Australia online store! For those of you that used to order from Luxola, Luxola was recently acquired by Sephora and is now revamped as Sephora.com.au! I have been waiting for this day for a long time! There are so many products that I use that are only available in Sephora. I used to get my friend to buy it for me every time she goes to the United States. I’m glad that those days are over.
Today’s makeup look is created using some of the products I received from Sephora. I love this waterproof eyeshadow stick from MAKE UP FOR EVER. The colour I used here is D-12 Diamond Golden Grey and it is absolutely gorgeous. It is shimmery, a great colour for a night out look. The eyeshadow won’t budge once it’s set so I had to work around it very quickly once applied. So apply the eye shadow little by little and remember to blend it before it dries up. I swatch this colour on my hand yesterday and I’ve tried to remove it using a water based makeup remover and an oil based makeup remover. The best way to remove it for me is by using the oil based makeup remover. Less tugging and removes it instantly. This eye shadow stick is great for oily lids and also if you want to wear makeup while swimming/at the beach. Definitely my new favourite now! I finished the eye makeup look with the liquid eyeliner.
So I rarely wear pink lip colour. I can’t even recall when’s the last time I had pink lips. I tend to go for an orange tone lipstick, dark lip stick, or nude brown lip stick nowadays. I’ve decided to try this colour out and I’m surprised that I like how it looks on me since I never really liked pink lips. It is quite moisturising and it is a little minty so it feels really nice and refreshing. This is a really pretty colour for spring and I should really start wearing more pink!
I applied this Sephora blusher (in So Surpised N12) on my cheek. It is a nice orange-brown blusher with gold shimmers. The shimmers are so fine so it looks really subtle, just the way I like it. The blusher is quite sheer so it is great for a natural look and easily build-able too. Also let me know if you want me to record a tutorial of this look because it is really quite simple and very wearable!
I’m sure that you would know that I LOVE chocolate if you follow my social media (twitter/instagram). It’s on my profile page so it’s hard to miss that. I can finish more than a chocolate bar a day and not get sick of it, and I am not picky when it comes to chocolate. This Sephora perfume scent smells just like it. It smells delicious!
The last beauty item that I’m going to be talking about today is this liquid gold treatment by Alpha-H. I’ve seen so many good reviews of this item on Sephora. The treatment has a watery texture and absorbs right into your skin. It contains glycolic acid which is the smallest AHA. I’ve used quite a bit of AHA products including glycolic acid and this is a way to exfoliate your skin gently. It helps in shifting dead skin cells which results in smoother skin surface. I was recommended to use AHA products in the past because of my acne prone skin as it helps to remove dead skin cell build up, thereby helps to decongest the skin. One of the main reasons we get break out is because of the dead skin clogging the pores. There are tons of other possible reasons that leads to acne such as diet, lifestyle, hormones, p-acne bacteria, etc. I can go on and on about this but definitely try this out if you want to get rid of dead skin cells in one of the most gentle ways.
You can find all the products in this blog post on Sephora and here’s the list of items I’ve mentioned in this blog post.
