Have you heard of Eastland? It’s Melbourne’s exciting new urban community located in Ringwood. It’s definitely a new addition to my destination list when I need a full day of shopping with brands I love and indulging on food. Another reason why it’s great for me is it’s not too far from home and easily accessible from the freeway. With my family visiting soon, I’m glad I now have a new spot to bring overseas visitors as Eastland is massive and I really enjoy the spacious high ceiling and open-air experience.
So lets begin with a quick outfit of the day recap followed by some highlights of my favourite stores you can find at Eastland. I’m wearing a jumpsuit from Alpha 60. It has a pretty lovely crop top that wraps around into a ribbon. It kinda reminds me of a Japanese Kimono! I paired it with a simple vintage bag and a pair of Nasty Gal heels. Great outfit I reckon for a lazy Saturday afternoon.
So starting it off at the beginning, here’s Town Square. This is the main entrance to Eastland. It’s a destination on it’s own as there are heaps of culinary places to eat, nice grassy areas to chill and enjoy the summer heat, and they even have a huge Christmas tree in a cool glass enclosure, which is pretty neat and unique!
I’m glad they’ve brought some great eateries in the city over – Jimmy Grants, Huxtaburger and Pacos Tacos. I also managed to come across this hip Japanese cafe called Kyoto Cafe which has delicious Japanese desserts and you know how much I love sweets, so I couldn’t help myself and had to order a couple of treats.
This gelato place, Lavezzi, looks like a great spot for Instagram photos, so I popped in and had a look at the store. I didn’t get anything but I’ll come back and give it a try next time!
Alright so that’s just the Town Square area, if you venture inside the building itself you’ll be in shopping heaven with levels of countless shops. Shopping here is great as there’s an even mix of designer boutiques as well as street brands like H&M, Uniqlo, Seed and Country Road. You can find designer boutiques like Scanlan Theodore, Morrison, Sass & Bide, Camilla, Alpha 60, Rodeo Show and other designers here. I recommend checking out the Alpha 60, Morrison, Rodeo Show, Scanlan Theodore and Sass & Bide. Their latest collections are gorgeous and I found myself stuck in their stores for quite some time! Anyway that’s it from me as I didn’t get to spend much time here as I didn’t anticipate such a huge venue, so I’ll definitely be back here again. Do enjoy the rest of the pictures and check out their website for a full store directory. This post was brought to you by Nuffnang and Eastland.
